Photoluminescent Pigment Lanthanide activated aluminate photoluminescent pigment Lanthanide activated aluminate photoluminescent pigment has a high initial luminance and long afterglow. The working principle is like this: when exposed to light of 200-450nm wavelength, some electrons in the pigment will become excited and will gradually return to the ground state by emitting visible light. So the pigment will continue to glow when light source is removed. Its luminance and afterglow exceeds that of the conventional zinc sulfide pigment by over ten times. Tests by national authoritative institutions have proved that photoluminescent pigment is non-toxic and non-radioactive. Chemically stable, the functional additive could be evenly dispersed into such transparent medium as paints, inks, plastics, printing slurries, ceramics glaze, glass, and synthetic fibers to make different photoluminescent safety and decorative products.
